When it works it works well. That's why I called it average.

When it doesn't work - it's useless and there were no instructions with it. I'm not sure whether I have to send it back or not.

There's a good chance a simple manual would eliminate any uncertainty.
Plug in Turn the power on also on the back of it then with the temp. button up or down set the temp. After you see the temp. you want on screen then press “set” button . after you do that little green light next to “Set” should turn steady green. If it is not press set again, wait for it to reach that temp.
